“Dysfunctional Disorder”

This ceramic set is a sculptural piece that was created to represent the struggle I have with eating. I wanted to shine a light on people with eating disorders like mine and I thought making a dinner set would be fitting. The colors blue, red , and purple are significant to the pieces because food is beautiful but has draining and when I would eat, I’d think about how good I will feel once their is food in my belly. However, the downside is when I throw up I think about how much better I look and feel if I was skinny and left with nothing in my stomach. Having the holes in my dish set highlights how empty I feel somedays and stuck in my disorder.
